Dr. Hande Aguirre Ünlü is an architect, researcher, and international business consultant with about twenty years of academic and professional experience across Japan, Türkiye, and Europe.
She earned both her Master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo, completing her doctorate in 2011 at the Institute of Industrial Science under Prof. Tomonari Yashiro. Her research focused on “Organizational Robustness on Project-Based Technology Development“, in which she developed a theory on analyzing organizational capabilities to innovate.
Dr. Aguirre has published several research papers and presented at international conferences on Innovation Management since 2008. In 2011, she joined Takenaka Europe GmbH in Germany, where she worked in project management on construction projects. In 2014, she moved to Takenaka Corporation’s Tokyo headquarters, supporting technology transfer and development initiatives between Japan, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Türkiye.
In 2019, she returned to the University of Tokyo as a researcher and later served as Project Assistant Professor, leading research on innovation ecosystems in collaboration with Mitsubishi Estate and MEC-UTokyoLab.
Since founding Nebula Research and Consulting in 2024, she has focused on helping Japanese and Turkish companies identify new business opportunities, build cross-border partnerships, and develop practical technology and market roadmaps for international growth.
Managing Director, Global Strategy
Dr. Gonzalo Aguirre Domínguez is a doctoral engineer and technology executive with more than 15 years of international experience across the space, robotics, automotive, and aerospace industries.
He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Waseda University, an M.Sc. from Hochschule Esslingen University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and a Bachelor’s degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico, complemented by international study at the University of Nottingham.
His career spans engineering consulting, automotive software development, robotics, machine learning, and advanced space technologies. He currently serves as Senior Director of Robotics and Machine Learning at Astroscale Holdings in Japan, where his work includes robotics, computer vision, machine learning, autonomy, and technology strategy for future on-orbit servicing systems.
Throughout his career, Gonzalo has worked with multidisciplinary and international teams to transform emerging technologies into practical, high-performance engineering solutions.
At Nebula Research and Consulting, he is contributing senior-level expertise in technology assessment, innovation strategy, and the development of international technology roadmaps.
Senior Consultant, Istanbul
M.Arch. Yadigar Esin Esen
Yadigar Esin Esen is an architect and senior consultant in Istanbul, with over 20 years of experience in architecture, design, and the Turkish construction market. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and completed a research program at the University of Tokyo. She has worked with leading practices in Türkiye, including EAA and Yazgan Design, and later founded Esen Esen Architects in Istanbul.
Within Nebula’s consulting activities, she offers local expertise on Türkiye’s construction and investment environment. Her work spans contractor licensing, data center projects, market intelligence, and local project conditions.
She also supports research on tender and procurement processes in Türkiye and provides insights on Turkish investors and key stakeholders through her professional network. With her architectural practice, regulatory knowledge, and strong local relationships, Nebula integrates strategic research with practical intelligence and coordination in Türkiye.

Kürşad Ünlü is an industrial engineer, business strategist, and international partnership specialist with more than 25 years of professional experience.
His background spans logistics and supply chain, industrial development, strategic growth, international business partnerships, investment initiatives, and business transformation. He is a graduate of Galatasaray University in Industrial Engineering and also completed graduate studies at Université Laval in Canada, where his work included financial analysis, risk modelling, and corporate finance research.
As Founder and Managing Partner of Ünlü Global Partners, he focuses on developing strategic partnerships, identifying investment and business opportunities, and connecting organizations with the right commercial, technical, and institutional stakeholders.
Within the Nebula–ÜGP strategic partnership, he contributes extensive business networks, investment insight, and cross-sector experience to the development of international opportunities and project collaborations.
